so, my thesis is officially done, as of yesterday when i had my defense, and although i shouldn't be proud of this, i found out that the lowest possible grade i'm getting on it is a B. i shouldn't be proud, because i got that 3.0 by researching and writing my entire thesis in a week and a half, with zero advising over the whole process (and i turned in my first draft as my final draft), and i should be disappointed in thinking about how i could probably have gotten a 4.0 if i had just worked on it earlier, harder, and with guidance, but whatever. the first thing they told me when i went in for my defense is that i'm obviously really smart, but that it's pretty clear that my thesis suffered from lack of time and lack of being advised.
and rightly or wrongly, i can live with that.
